The following text represents the general terms and conditions of Ugly DJ Co.


Ugly DJ Co, in consideration of the total amount specified, will provide the services of DJ on the date of function, at the agreed location for the agreed performance times, as stated on the booking form.

Ugly DJ Co will make every effort to play all requests, subject to such music being available on the date and suitability for the function and venue.

In the event the booked DJ is not available, Ugly DJ Co reserves the right to substitute the DJ assigned to the function.

Booking and Payment

To book and reserve Ugly DJ Co, a 50% deposit is required at the time of making the booking. The remaining 50% is due one week prior to the function date. If you did not receive a booking confirmation, that will be because your booking hasn’t been confirmed.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation must be made no less than 7 days prior to the function date. Notification must be in writing. All deposits and payments are non-refundable. In the case a function must be rescheduled, Ugly DJ Co can transfer any deposits towards an alternate date.

Health and Safety

The client shall provide Ugly DJ Co with safe and appropriate working conditions. The DJ requires a minimum of two separate power points within 10 metres of the setup area. This circuit must be free of all other connected loads.

The client will be responsible for any damage to equipment provided during the contracted time period, including the time allowed for setting up and packing away.


In order to prevent equipment damage, Ugly DJ Co reserves the right to deny any individual access to the sound system or any other equipment in possession of Ugly DJ Co personnel.

Ugly DJ Co requires a minimum of 60 minutes for setting up and 30 minutes to pack away equipment. The DJ will not, under any circumstances, cut corners regarding the health and safety procedures inherent in this process.


The client will be responsible for the theft of any equipment, along with personal belongings of Ugly DJ Co personnel. Ugly DJ Co, at its discretion, reserves the right to discontinue services on the function date until items are returned, or an agreement has been reached regarding suitable recompense.


The client is responsible for the conduct of all persons attending the function, whether those persons are invited or not. Ugly DJ Co do not take any responsibility for controlling rowdy behaviour or ejecting unwanted persons.

The DJ reserves the right to cease performance should any physical, verbal abuse, or intimidating actions be made to any Ugly DJ Co personnel. If the client is able to resolve the threatening situation within a reasonable amount of time (maximum of 15 minutes), the DJ shall resume performance in accordance with the original terms and conditions of this agreement.

Equipment Failure

Ugly DJ Co is not responsible for any power outages and cannot be held responsible for any sudden malfunction or breakdown of electrical equipment. As this is an unavoidable occurrence, every reasonable effort will be made to rectify the situation.


Ugly DJ Co is not liable in any way for injuries that may occur due to the actions of the clients and/or any of the clients guests. This may include, but is not restricted to drunkenness or other forms of intoxication and misbehaviour.


If the performance start time is delayed due to the inability of the DJ to gain access to the function area, or any other delay beyond the DJs reasonable control, Ugly DJ Co will not be liable for any refund whatsoever.


This agreement is binding, by booking with Ugly DJ Co you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions. Once service has begun no amendments may be made. Ugly DJ Co has the right to modify these terms and conditions without prior warning.
